I ordered the chicken teriyaki, and the chicken was dry while the white rice had an unpleasant, plastic-like taste. On a positive note, the server was very friendly and accommodating. However, after only taking a few bites, the owner offered a mere 25% discount, citing that "the food had been sitting on the table for a while." Charging $17 for such dry chicken feels unreasonable. I believe management could have taken further steps to address my concerns, yet the owner never approached me to discuss the issue.
This traditional Japanese sushi restaurant has been a local favorite in Columbia for over 35 years. I ordered nigiri, and the rice was flawless. The chef introduced me to white soy sauce, which beautifully complemented the delicate flavors of the white fish.
It was a fantastic experience! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The ambiance felt like a small corner of Japan, reminiscent of those charming little restaurants in Nishiki Market, Kyoto. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Kind people, lots of take out orders when I came there. Nothing too special about it. It?s good sushi for a good price. The chef was kind enough to give me a bonus sushi bouquet since it was Valentine?s Day and I was traveling alone :?
First time at this restaurant and there is no entry into the dinning area because they have no staff. You must order at the window. They make sushi here and for the price they charge it's not worth going. I purchased a spider roll and spicy crunch roll and the seaweed was tough and the rolls lacked taste. I do not recommend.
