The canteen dining hall has nice artwork and a good place to rest your bones before going back to the cliffs. They had a vegan option, which was nice if a bit spicy but had delicious pastry, and the cheese pasties and chips were delicious. Staff were nice, and it was a cosy canteen atmosphere.
We stopped in here for food on our visit to Land's end day trip on holiday. When we walked in, it was clean and tidy. We joined the cue for food and was dished up what we asked for, Which was pasty chips and beans but was presented awful and kind of reminded me of school dinners back when I was at school 20 years ago, just sloop on a plate really. When we went in to sit down there were no forks in the tray and 3 members of staff just standing around chatting not even noticing me and another lady standing there waiting for their attention. Once we did manage to get a word in and forks delivered to us the rest of lunch went without fault. So constructive critizum Food prep could do with improving maybe get bigger plates if your staff can fit it on the plate properly and staff need to be more alert when it comes to customers wanting their attention
We came down today with our family from overseas and apart from the very talkative young lady that served us I was actually shocked at how badly the staff behaved there was a man eating his lunch obviously on his break in his uniform shouting over to another male member of staff for quite some time that was walking around crashing and banging doors glasses plates and the benches the food was overpriced and sub standard as a local we felt embarrassed that we had chosen this place to take out family I most definitely won't be recommending this place we were offered compensation in the form of cups of tea which really is an insult won't be coming back
A horrible experience. Very poor quality food/overpriced/surly staff/did not allow dogs and only told us when we paid at the till
Food selection was poor and drinks very expensive. It was quiet for our visits but no cutlery was available, just think if a sachet of sauce is 60p what the rest costs?
