We were warmly welcomed by the staff who gave us great advice on the menu, personal favourites which we equally enjoyed , and attentive service. The menu is extensive and each dish was well prepared, full of flavour. Just the right meal after a full day of skiing.
My friends and I are on a ski vacation and really enjoyed this Indian restaurant. The late hours accommodated our late arrival in town after a long drive. The food was excellent. I heartily recommend the Rogan josh, but everything we had was great. The restaurant was not busy, and the owner, Bobby, spent time recommending dishes and telling us about his life in Kashmir. A really enjoyable evening.
Tables seemed dirty. Makes me nervous about the kitchen. But the owner was very friendly and the food was great. The best nan bread I've ever had by far!
Amazing. Try the onion bahji, it was not what i expected, And was amazing. If i had one complaint it would be that they call a 355ml can of beer a pint. A pint is 473mlI used to work at spice hut and was able to try mostly everything on the menu there, and it's not bad, i use that as my baseline for comparison, and they make good food. But honestly, Himalayan spice bistro takes the cake for sure. Tried bay leaf last week, and it was absolute trash in comparison. I'm not even kidding the biryani smelled like a freshly opened trash bag. So it goes: #1)Himalayan#2) spice hut#9) Bay leafAs far as Indian food goes in CranbrookThe Himalayan tandoori tikka masala with lamb is soooo freaking good
Really disappointing. We checked in the afternoon to be told they’d be open until 9 pm. So we went along at 7.15pm…..and were told it had closed at 7 pm. No excuse for that!
