This place has gone down hill since the original owners sold it months ago. I went here twice in 1 week and had the worst ever experience. First me and my date were sat directly in front of the live band and we couldn't even talk to each other cause it was so loud. So we moved ourselves to another table. The service took forever for us to get drinks and order food. One of the most common staples in an Italian restaurant is about the bread and oil at the table, Hell Sebastian Maniscalco even talks about it in his standup comedy. Now the bread comes out cold and the oil is not even on a warm plate but its in a tiny mixing bowl so only one person at a time can even dip the bread in there. We were told its because they were out of plates? Hmm ok so we met the owners and I pointed out several issues that I have never had happen to me in all the years I have been coming. So the decided to offer us free shots..... Hmm owners offering free shots cause service sucked sound familiar? So I figured maybe they were off their game that night. Then this past Friday I had reservations and needed to change them. I called the place for 2 hours and no one would answer. So me and my friends arrive around 8:40ish and the place was pretty much dead. I saw one of the owners and I mentioned that no one was answering their phones in which they concurred no one was. Yeah big mistake cause how do people know your even open or what if people want to order take out? Now comes round 2 with the oil in a tiny mixing bowl? What are we suppose to do just past the bowl around to each other?. It took forever for us to get drinks and I couldn't believe why cause it was dead and all the staff was hanging out at the bar. I asked our waitress Nia 5 times over the course of 45 mins to bring out a plate with oil and cheese so we can enjoy it before our entrees. It took one of the owners to come to my table to ask how things were and immediately I told him this is now twice in a row with service being terrible, were waiting for drinks, we did not get any oil/cheese to start off with and also our waitress was sitting around and having a bunch of laughs with some guys who were already leaving for like 10 mins when I needed to put my food order in before they closed the kitchen. So the owner went to have a talk with our waitress and now finally at 9:40pm almost an hour later we finally get the oil on the plate. But surprise the waitress takes off and were sitting there with no parmesan cheese. So now here I go walking up to the bar to get the owners attention cause they are boozing it up with customers. Your a restaurant owner, you shouldn't get sitting there drinking and screwing around when you have a business to run and upkeep. Now the owner has to come to our table to grind the cheese and while he is doing that the other owner comes up and try's to explain the whole oil on the plate and cheese thing is something they don't do. Every Italian restaurant does it and so did this place since day 1. At this point I was about to say I don't even want my dinner but when my lasagna comes out there's no meatballs after I said it twice with my order. A moment later someone comes around and starts offering blankets in case we are cold. Sorry I am not wearing some blanket that I do not know when it was washed last and handing out blankets is the last thing you should be concerned. In the end I spent well over 100 bucks for this embarrassment and I still tipped while I sat there and see the owners drinking at the bar. Back in the day this place would be packed and you would need to make reservations on certain nights. The waiter or waitress would have your drinks within minutes of you sitting down. They knew and offered the specials they were serving and they would check on us. This place I can see closing or selling if they don't make sure serious changes. Having to give out free drinks is what failing restaurant owners who don't know what they are doing on Bar Rescue. Oh and both nights I kept hearing glasses and plates breaking cause the staff kept dropping them.
