I don't think I've ever been charged for cutlery in a restaurant. The food was actually quite good and a decent selection of beer at reasonable prices, but I still can't have an additional fee to a knife and fork with my meal! I wouldn't recommend it on this basis.
Restaurant Pangea in the centre of the popular El Chaltén. The restaurant offers drinks, lunch. A pleasant atmosphere and average food defines their character. The waiters are right. On a weekday in November we went to Pangea before we drove the night bus to Los Antiguos. The restaurant was relatively busy, a good sign. We went for a vegetable wok with rice and a zeasars salad with chicken accompanied by a glass of simple malbec. We weren't impressed. Salad and vegetables were fine, but nothing special, and the wine was acceptable. If you want an impressing dinner, Restaurant Pangea is the place for you, otherwise you should go elsewhere.
Delicious food and alcohol served. Friendly service with English-speaking servers. Moderate prices. It's best to accept credit cards.
When we walked past this restaurant we couldn’t help returning for our evening meal. It was very quiet that night and we received such personal service. Bastion explained the menu to us and Milagros served our food. They were both so pleasant and gave us great recommendations. I had a lamb tasting dish, with lamb cooked in 3 different ways, all delicious. The potato dish was unusual and very tasty. We also ordered a side of grilled zucchini and I’m not sure how they prepare it, but it was the best I’ve ever had. Towards the end of the meal, Federico entertained us with some lovely Argentinian music on his guitar. A wonderful night, thank you!
