The menu clearly marks vegetarian and vegan choices, but be cautious as some items may be labeled incorrectly. I ordered a dish called humshuka, marked as vegan, but when I inquired about it, the waiter mentioned it contained eggs. The dish arrived with an egg, so I opted for the chori chori instead, which was delicious. I mentioned the menu error to another waiter before leaving, suggesting they update it or inform customers. The waiter explained that a symbol indicating non-vegan options actually represented gluten-free items. Overall, it's important to double-check when ordering to ensure your meal meets your dietary preferences.
Upon entering this restaurant, the first thing that caught our attention was the incredibly loud music that made conversation impossible. This can be particularly frustrating for vegans as it makes it difficult to inquire about the menu. We decided to try the Falafel sandwich with what we thought were fries, but turned out to be potato chips. Unfortunately, the falafel lacked the authentic flavors of lemon, garlic, and tahini, leaving it tasting quite bland. Additionally, the price was on the expensive side. Despite the limited vegan options in El Nido, none of us were inclined to return to this establishment. (Updated from a previous review on May 30, 2022)
I really enjoy this restaurant. It serves the best cocktails we've had in El Nido. My only criticism is that there are only 2 items on the menu that are not vegetarian. It would be great if they could cater more to those who are firm vegans/vegetarians.
They have tons vegan options and offer a great breakfast menu.
I was surprised to find high quality fresh food here. They had amazing salads. Amazing hummus. And amazing drinks as well, all which you can customize. I also had a side of falafel.
