Minestrone suppe was hot and tasted very welcome at a cold day in the dandenongs, but a bit overpriced.
Wonderful eating see photo. fresh ingredients, prepared and presented with personality, skill and subtlety. the coffee is great. no bitter aftertaste, as they ask to do. the environment is great nature in its finest. this place has a very high and positive vibe, it is so obvious that good people are here. I have been regularly (5 times a week) for over a year. this is not based on a single random visit. I say "not suitable for dinner" only because they close at 4 4.30 depending on the day. simple free parking is a plus.
I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant, where I paid $26 for two servings of Devonshire tea (including scones, jam, cream, and a large pot of tea). The service was friendly, and the views of the forest and the birds were lovely. The portions were generous, and the food that other patrons ordered looked delicious.
Have been twice and both times have enjoyed the meals. Good place to stop after having a long walk through the forest hoping to see a Lyrebird, but you can see the kookaburras, cockatoos and rosellas from the balcony, if you are lucky they will...sit on your table. We found the food to be tasty and simple and the service was very good. Can get busy if the buses are in.
