Hong Kong Gardens Tavern and Restaurant

1st time order:Chicken fried rice had a funny taste-ineatable2nd time order: in general 5 dishes ordered were disappointing. Honey garlic dip was only syrup, fried rice dishes were tasteless and the vegetable dishes were basically slop. Ended up throwing out the entire order.

Restaurant itself is getting a bit tired. Food has been over cooked past several visits. It was once great, and yet still seems to have a loyal following. It’s priced reasonably for the area. Maybe it’s just me being too fussy.

Sadly, something is amiss. On a Friday night, great quality and flavour we were used to just wasn't there. Did the OG chef call in sick? We threw out all the leftovers...disappointing!

Last year I gave this place a great review here but today I ordered food and it was not good at all. The broccoli should have been firm and bright green it was not as you can see. I even went out of my way to ask if the broccoli was fresh.....IT WAS NOT!!! Picture below. I was very surprised the food is usually much much better.On top of that the delivery service was horrible. The driver was very very rude, an angry because I didn't answer the door immediately when he knocked suggesting that I never order from them again, which I very well may not!!!
