The Pantry Restaurant - Fort McMurray

During my 5-day stay at this establishment, I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the helpfulness of the staff. The buffet breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. However, there were some drawbacks to our experience. There was a homeless encampment near the hotel, with individuals going through the ashtrays, which was concerning. One night, a homeless person even slept in front of the hotel. Despite these challenges, the staff continued to provide exceptional service. One issue was that some staff members spoke in their native language in front of guests, which made some people uncomfortable. Nevertheless, their dedication and hospitality were outstanding.

My experience at the hotel left much to be desired. The pictures I had seen online did not accurately reflect the quality of the hotel. While the room itself was clean, the housekeeping service was lacking. After the first night, my room was not properly serviced - towels were left on the floor, the ice bucket remained full of water, the bed was unmade, and the garbage had not been taken out. I had to call for fresh towels, which were promptly brought to me. However, in the following days, while the garbage was emptied and fresh towels were provided, the bed was not made and the ice bucket was not emptied. I also felt that the toiletries in the room could be updated, as the squeeze bottles on the wall seemed outdated. On a positive note, the service at the front desk was excellent. Overall, I do not plan on staying at this hotel again.

This restaurant is one of the best places to stay in Fort McMurray. They offer affordable rates and have excellent rooms. Guests receive a card for a complimentary breakfast. The rooms are clean and overall it was a great experience.

Rooms were clean and reasonably priced the staff was super accommodating we needed an early check-in and late check-out and they had no issues with setting that up it was quite and comfortable would stay here again for sure.

Starting this review with the staff of this hotel, entire staff is very chill and friendly. Daily housekeeping was done during the stay which was good. Breakfast was alternating each day with a different variety which was great. Stay was good, no issues except that the room interiors and hallway seems to be outdated. Perhaps its time for a new carpet and furniture. The shower in 327 whistles when turned on with hot water, which could be addressed. Gym is decent, can get the job done, although missing weights between 8lbs-25lbs which was a pain but was able to get the workout in. Underground parkade was a great. Mariane and Ramil did a fantastic job at front desk to make sure customer satisfaction. Overall for the value the stay was good.
