Cedars Bakery - Fort McMurray

Cedars is one of my favorite spots for Shawarma because they have the best freshly baked pita in town. However, I find that the chicken can be a bit dry and overseasoned.

Earlier this afternoon, I visited the restaurant and was inspired to write this review immediately. I was truly impressed by the delicious and delightful chicken shawarma I had, as well as the exceptional customer service provided by the cashier. I have never felt more welcomed or had such a positive interaction with a cashier before. The world could definitely benefit from having more kind and friendly individuals like her.

Since moving to Fort Mac, this has been my go to spot since discovering it. I'm from Toronto and I miss the diversity it offered in terms of cuisines and flavors and just being able to get dishes I don't normally cook! Cedars has been able to keep me filled with their generous portions (I usually get 2 servings from 1 platter). The meat is always cooked to perfection whether it's their chicken, beef, lamb, etc. The fatoush salad is always fresh and so delicious as well definitely recommend!

This restaurant in Fort McMurray is my absolute favorite. If you haven't been here yet, you are truly missing out on the best that the city has to offer. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is great. It's the kind of place that will have you coming back to try new dishes and wanting to bring your friends and family along with you.

We have been frequenting Cedars Bakery for a few years now and have always found their food to be consistently good. However, we recently noticed a change in the quality, likely due to a different cook preparing the food. My last donair was dry and difficult to eat, despite requesting garlic sauce. It also had minimal tomato. I hope this feedback reaches the main cook, who is fantastic, so that improvements can be made. Despite this recent experience, we still enjoy dining here and recommend others give it a try.
