Good quality, proper traditional kitchen. the first impression is not great I give empty for a Sunday dinner (if the cappuccino strip was very busy), sitting places are not particularly comfortable at the stands (table too high couches too low) and eating was slow to get out. but the two young people who work there were very friendly, and then that was really good and worth it. they ran out of the house beer that I thought was bad service to be honest, but the alternative proposal from the waiter was still good. the more likely on hahn was really fantastic! not dry and not very sweet. I would recommend it for a large group. but the great main courts are not cheap.
The service is good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food are very nice. We all like the German beer. Pork knuckle is very big and good to share with 2 person. Maybe a bit slow when we have to pay bills at the counter. It is a long queue.
Zapfhall...dined here on a Groupon voucher. It's a huge space and it is sort of kid friendly with high chairs and pencils etc but no kids menu which is a shame. The food here is really good. The pork knuckles are enormous and easily could be shared between 2 people. Others ordered the salmon which they said was really good too. The service though-sigh. It's not good. Others had said it-it's disorganised and the drinks are slow. Some of the beers advertised on the special board were no longer available-I don't know why they didn't just remove them! This place has potential but they do need to sort out their service quickly!!
Went here on Sunday afternoon for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Sat out on the balcony and had a lovely view of Fremantle. Beer was a little pricy, apple cocktail was nice and reasonably priced. Got the tasting plate to share between 3 of us. $24 for a plate of pickled vegetables ad a few pieces of sausage is a bit outrageous. Would head back for the drinks and view but would probably eat elsewhere.
This place had a real potential. The venue (ex Maria's on the Terrace) is set up great. You really get a beer hall vibe or as close as Fremantle could get. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing night: $75 meat tasting plate. This is grossly overpriced and essentially mostly just basic German sausages. Even the tomato relish (small as the serve was) had no taste. I'd rather eat with tomato sauce (which I did). Sauerkraut was good and the Schniztel was the only saving grace. I strongly recommend choosing something else. service was ok, but there were some faults. We booked. I received an email confirmation and everything. But, they lost out booking. They fixed it though. But, with a...read more
