I'm a single traveler and wanted some light and that was perfect. It's a very small and cute place. The sushi was very good and fresh staff was also very nice.
Good sushi and sashimi, and excellent Bibimbap and Teriyaki beef. We had two meals in Kirin, lunch and dinner. Both were very good, but the service at lunch was better/faster.
I called at 6 pm to order for pick up, as I was alone and there is no minimum for pick up. Apparently I was bothering them by calling, as they were in the middle of eating dinner! (They open at 6, how am I supposed to know? I was instructed to order online, and pay the extra fee, of course. Needless to say I will not be ordering online....or ever.
The first time there seemed a nice and clean little operation. My husband was very happy with his Sashimi order. I had the mixed tempura. The worst I have ever eaten is indisputable: in a thick bread, hard like a rock and tasting of old oil. I tried to save my meal by removing it, but the vegetables were already reduced to musk and could not be found. The shrimps were small rubber-things that tasted funny. They seemed unimpressed by my plate full of peeled bread and my remark that the tempura was a really bad experience. Well, I had a schnapps later, but I'm still quiet in the morning. Just a warning to all diners to stay away from this court...
