Che Burrito & Lounge - Hamilton

Always an amazing time on Friday nights. I wish the music was a bit more diverse, as its mostly the same genre and the same songs week after week..... but hey, its no cover, and a great crowd. Totally worth it.

After only coming here a few times, I realised I should have been going alot more frequently cheap drinks, great music, and the chillest vibes in Hamilton! Scott and his staff work to curate an amazing space, and as a long standing establishment in Hamilton, I'm glad to see its continued success.

Amazing place! Full of friendly people and great music. Definately more casual, nice combination of bar and club!

The owner Scott McDonald works during the anesthesia and takes his attack on a paying customer by dancing them in his head while hiding behind his bouncer. I stood at the edge of the terrace that gated, talking to some friends who smoke outside... the terrace and Scott insisted that I was using the can of beer that I paid with a smile on his face, I told him not I was and his bounty beat my drink out of my hand and he hit me in the head. Unbelievable. Nice way to finish a 12-hour work shift before you go home to bed by choosing to stop in this place for a short visit to get up with friends.

Last Friday I visited the Che Burrito Lounge for a friend's birthday. The DJ was friendly, and the mood seemed decent for the kind of crowd there. I was the DD and decided to have a beer early in the night as the terrace was open and the weather was great. For beginners, the beer selection was less than subdued, no good selection on site. It looked like she picked up all the lower beers at LCBO and increased their price by $5 a can (yikes) – I paid less for the lucratively branded beers. They had OE, who was uncanny high school, but I guess with a clientele of 17-20 years (yes, you have read correctly, 17, a whole lot of youngin's bragging over into a bar). Anyway – I decided to have a low brew, went back to the terrace and sat down with my friends. I might have had 2 sips of him before I was asked to be in a photo with my friends – still close to the table, only for the bus person to take my full beer, along with some voids from the table. I tried to chase her into the bar, but the dance floor was packed and it was already emptied. I let the bartender know, and their answer was basically “Tough sh, you can buy another? Maybe you should not take photos with your friends!" It was just rude. I went away right away and let everyone I know about my experience. Rude staff. Serious drinking. 11/10 will never return or recommend this place to anyone I know.
