We had a not so nice experience with local not satisfactorely outcome, but when i enter this cafe, i was impress with amount of staff working there. More than 6 people behind the counter, not many customers eating in but probably due to early choice, just 6pm could be too early to get busy. Wanting a shish kebab which was declined because they did not supply that but was offered a skewered chicken kebab with mixed salad, bread, tzazicky and flavoured rice which I certainly believe to be a very good value for money....well done to fulfill a concern over local cafe and improve the expectation of such! A visit well worthy exploring.
Affordable meals, tasty kebabs, and complimentary starters on the table. The food is not hurried, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their evening with drinks and good food. A fantastic discovery.
From the day we found this place we never stopped coming here...the food is amazing!!! P.S We drive 45 min to get here:
After our unfortunate experience at Ye Olde Turk restaurant in Greenwich, this place was a godsend! We had reserved a table at Ye Olde Turk for my wedding party of 25 people, but they treated us poorly and we were forced to leave. A guest recommended this restaurant to us, and after explaining our situation, they welcomed us with open arms. Despite the rocky start to my wedding party, everything turned around thanks to this restaurant, making it the best day of my life. The staff was warm and friendly, the musicians were fantastic, and the food was exceptional. A special thank you to Ms. Ilknur for hosting us! I highly recommend this place to everyone and can't wait to return soon.
This was an unexpected treat. It's very basic in its decor, unlike other restaurants in the area, but that's its charm. We were warmly welcomed by the waiter and the owner was obviously on hand overseeing things. The food was totally mouthwatering. We shared a starter of cubed liver (ciger) then moved on to mains of lamb ribs (kaburga) chicken shish. Both completely delicious, moist and tender and with lots of flavour, which can be sadly lacking in other places. Salads and tasty bread accompanied the dishes. A large shared Efes rounded off the meal and the price was very acceptable too. Definitely going to find a reason to go back.
