We stumbled upon this bar on our first day in Homer and got a plate of oysters, which were some of the best I’ve ever had in my life (and I’ve had oysters all over the world and consider myself a real oyster lover). I would absolutely recommend ordering from them in the future despite the high shipping fees, that’s how good they were! We saw all of the other good food going by so we decided to go back they next day and tried the clams and rockfish ceviche— both great and fresh. Everything looked and smelled incredible. The menu is all seafood and limited, but that’s how you know everything is done well. The inside of the bar is small and cozy and they have a big outside deck with an incredible view. The three guys working at this spot were great and chatty with the guests. I loved the laissez-faire and relaxed environment they put on— Broken Oar made me fall in love with Homer!
I must say, the bar is a little small but the foods are sooo goood. The oysters are so fresh the foods are so so good. You can feel it. We are in Homer for 7 days , we need to come back here again
Quite possibly the best oysters I’ve eaten. Although $3 each is pricy I’ve paid similar prices for oysters that were nothing in comparison. It’s worth the indulgence.
This restaurant in Alaska serves the best meal we've had so far! The delicious aroma that greets you as you enter sets the tone for an amazing dining experience. The baked oysters were served with a variety of tasty flavors, including Roasted Garlic Butter, Harissa, and Chimichurri, all of which were outstanding. Our main course, the seafood creole, was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.
The food here is amazing!! Best oysters in town by far and that’s after trying a couple other places. The service is superb as well!!
