No greetings and when we asked a question they would seem like we were bothering them. The food was below average. Nothing special at all and way over priced. The old lady at the front is so miserable and rude. I can't believe this place has got good reviews. Stay away at all costs!!
Regrettably, the elderly woman working at the counter was unkind and impolite when we inquired about food options for our two-year-old grandchild. The sausage was overcooked and the toast took a while to arrive. On a positive note, the server who assisted us was friendly.
It was a hot day, so I decided to bring some friends to this restaurant. We were surprised to see a line outside for the first time. We all ordered double scoops - I chose amaretto and wild cherry flavors. The ice cream was of excellent quality and reasonably priced.
This restaurant has been in existence for quite some time and while the old ice cream machine and cash register still function, the overall value is not up to par, especially by Chiswick standards. It's time for the owners to consider selling and updating their establishment.
It was around 10pm on Monday night and we couldn't find anywhere to eat as everywhere had closed earlier. We headed to the tube station as we'd given up and decided to go back to the hotel, but saw Fouberts was still lit. We asked if they were still open and were welcomed in and shown to a table. The food was amazing and real Italian! It's a lovely old-fashioned place and was a bit like stepping back in time. The service was very friendly. The ice-cream at the front counter looked absolutely amazing but I was so full of pizza and wine that I couldn't have any. Much better than the nearby pizza chains. I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area!
