Brought our breakfasts over (both ordered scrambled eggs on toast the rude woman who served me brought them, said to myself and my partner if your wondering why the eggs are a different colour...... Well, the reason is, I dunno
On a Sunday afternoon, this was our only option for tea and a scone. The tea (with milk added already) was served in mugs, no tea cup, no tea pot, no milk jar. I could have suspected this, as the interior of the café has the feeling of a toastie takeaway, with worn and torn fake leather seats. The staff did not know that I wanted to order tea scones on requesting a cream tea, but thought I wanted tea with cream in it. This café may be right if you like a mug of tea like you make at home with supermarket-bought cake, but if you like a tea pot, it's not your cup of tea.
This place reminded me of the cafes when I was a kid in the 90‘s. Down to earth and the most amazing home cooked food. The Welsh breakfast was amazing, so so tasty.
