Shorte's Bbq - Johnston

It is usually delicious here, but our most recent experience this weekend was not good. My husband's pulled pork sandwich did not taste as wonderful as usual. It was mediocre. The beans had no flavor of barbecue. This is not how it usually is. A pulled pork sandwich is now $14 and a turkey sandwich is $16. Even though the portions are plentiful, this is more than what we want to spend on sandwiches. I hate to make a bad comment, but it has been hard to find them open at

I love ribs and I eat at a rib place at least once a week. Saw this place online and I was close by so thought what the heck. Pulled into the parking lot and there was only 1 car there. I should of took that as a sign to leave. Ribs were horrible dry and absolutely no flavor. And the price was ridiculous.

Today was our first time here and it won't be the last. The wings were fabulous! I had the Cuban and loaded potatoes and both were amazing. Everyone was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Can't wait to come back!

Great food! This is a hidden gem. Portions are big and good is full of flavor. I really enjoy the wings. This time I ordered the Mac and cheese with pulled pork and it was FILLING! I had to take half home. The creamed corn it really good but I?d order the mild next time, I really enjoy spicy but this was a bit much.

I got a Pitmaster sandwich, and my wife had the BBQ nachos. Both were fantastic! The smoked meats were the best I've had in the metro. Also try the mac and cheese. We'll be back soon ????
