I visited this restaurant on a public holiday and despite being very busy, they went out of their way to make a special off-menu breakfast roll for me. I truly appreciated their effort and the roll was very tasty too!
During our visit to Katoomba, we decided to have lunch at Katoomba St Café located on the main street. Despite forgetting to take pictures of the food, we enjoyed our meals. The girls had quiche, I had a BLT, and my friend had a burger, all of which were delicious. The coffee was served hot. The service was a bit slow, but the young man serving us was friendly. The café had a cozy, old-fashioned feel. The only downside was that there was no restroom on site, so we had to use a public restroom across the street.
Coffee was so week it looked like stained milk. When I asked if I could have another coffee in him, the abrupt waiter simply said “too late”. Most cafes would have put at least another shot in a small glass and give it to you. The smashed avocado was just a thin coating on the only type of bread they do. Because, as the unfriendly waiter told me, "We're just making some kind of bread." The hash brown my friend consisted of a few pale lumps of potato, as far away from a hash brown as you could get. So unfriendly, bad quality food and expensive. This is a local who will never go there again.
Had a quick breakfast here, while the food was good, juice coffee average, the service was a little slow the young lady behind the service counter was abruptly rude. The prices were reasonable. The café itself was very basic felt grubby....so they don't have a toilet. You need the public toilets 100m above the road on the hill. We will not come back because our experience was indifferent.
