It was one of the best experiences I've had, especially considering that many other places charge much more and are not as good. The food was all delicious and the prosecco was top quality. Our server, Christian, took excellent care of us. The location and ambience of the restaurant were also fantastic.
We had the misfortune of having breakfast at this restaurant three times as hotel guests. The breakfast chaos was beyond belief, with tables not being cleaned, long lines for seating and food pickup, and the quality of the food was just as bad as the hotel itself. If breakfast is not included in your rate, we recommend eating elsewhere.
It is a little surprising that the Holiday Inn at Wrights Land has received some 4500 reviews, but the restaurant within it appears to have only received 7 reviews. Of these reviews the one marked terrible seems to have been expunged from the records. My own review is entirely independent of this. The restaurant is of good appearance and we were courteously shown to our choice of table. Menus were quickly produced and our order taken. The food was a little slow in coming but we were not overly concerned regard this. Only five or six of the more than fifty tables were occupied. We ordered spaghetti carbonara and a house speciality burger with fries. On arrival both plates were stone cold and consequently both meals were well on the way to being cold also. Our deserts were not particularly interesting and by then we had decided not to linger. However a waiter was not available to ask for a bill and I had to go to find one. To add insult the advertised prices were subject to a 12.5% service charge. We subsequently found in very small print that this was discretionary- and to the hotel 's credit they did deduct it from our final hotel account. A good enough hotel, but on this occasion let down by sloppy restaurant service in both dining room and kitchen.
My friend and I had a beautiful meal here in March 2017. The food was very fresh and very tasty. very polite and takes time to make sure your happy with every aspect of you meal
I ate in here as I was staying at the hotel. It is large, comfortable and recently refurbished. The night I ate the restaurant was very quiet. The staff were very friendly. The menu is pretty standard for a Holiday Inn menu but I found that the food was very well cooked. There was a choice of burgers and grills, fish and chips, pizza and pasta all fairly reasonably priced.
