A truly authentic pub dinner experience. Lots to choose from the menu, the beef and ale pie with mash, fresh veg and gravy being the obvious choice. Excellent in every way, being piping hot and a generous serving. The waitresses are an absolute delight- so helpful, warm and friendly. A well presented drinks menu with a great variety of beers. The pub also has a wonderful atmosphere. An all round enjoyable restaurant.
Good night with music Victoria from Bolonga is worth her weight in gold and worth a bonus. ............,.................
This is an average pub with exorbitant prices for drinks. I met some friends towards the end of the evening and ordered a mulled wine to get into the Xmas spirit. They'd already turned off the power heating the mulled wine so were expecting to throw it out (I assume). I didn't ask the price as I was expecting it to be around £5-6. The bar staff (nice enough) heated it up in the coffee steamer and I paid...only to find out that tiny glass of mulled wine was £8.50!!!! Whatttt???? It was just insulting. My friend had ordered a glass of wine and it was £14. Shockingly creative pricing IMO. No thanks.
I had a wonderful evening of drinks and sharing appetizers with my Goddaughter at this cozy and welcoming pub. The food was delicious and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
