It's been over a year since I moved and I ordered Lancaster Shawarma for dinner tonight. I was not impressed. The Butter Chicken didn't look, smell, or taste like Butter Chicken at all. Honestly, the color threw me off and I lost my appetite. I tried one bite and it tasted as though it had been cooking in a crockpot for days, burnt and dry.
It was ok, falafels were good.Rice was plain white parboiled rice with a yellow colour to it. Same as every other place.Couple tomato slices and cucumber on a bed of lettuce.I don't really expect much from a popup restaurant attached to a variety store.Service was very good.
The restaurant was decent, with tasty falafels. The rice was plain white with a yellow tint, similar to many other places. The dish included a couple of tomato slices and cucumber on a bed of lettuce. Considering it was a popup restaurant connected to a variety store, the service was exceptional.
The chicken wrap was made of old veggies and chicken which tasted like rubber and smelled like rotten fish. Really bad experience.
I can’t lie.. I used to love this spot before now it’s just crazy overprice. 15$ for a shawarma plate with BARELY any chicken is a crime. They used to not be cheap with it but oh well. I would suggest trying zay zayman across the street for getting your moneys worth.
