Eiscafé Sommariva - Köln

Walking through the street craving some ice cream and walked into this little place only because it was the only place open because it was quite late. The owner was very nice and an older man from Italy who has a passion for making ice cream. His store has been run and operated by 4 generations which is really awesome. He showed me how he makes all the ice cream by hand which was nice of him. The ice cream was very good. I had cookies and cream and some other kind that he said was his favorite but unfortunately I can't remember the name. It was quite long and began with an S if that helps. Good variety of ice cream and for only a euro for each scoop with a good waffle cone it is hard to beat that. Plus helping out a store with a story with 4 generations is always a plus
