We visited this place twice during the stay in reith. the first time was the end of a search for somewhere to watch the champions league football game, and it led to a very nice evening in the bar, watching the football on a big one. Screen TV, and chat with hansi (the co-owner), which is a massive Liverpool supporter. the second time when we came back with the rest of the party party to try to cook hansis. instead of in the restaurant (which was a little quiet and entertaining) we eat at a large table in the bar area and it had a much better atmosphere. eating was typical Austrian and although the vegetarian options were somewhat limited, it was a good night.
The pulled pork must be one of the best I ever had. it is slowly cooked for 24 hours and then marinated in BBQ sauce for another 12. yum yum!
We had a late lunch today. The waitress looked like we interrupted her although we were the only table. The food was ok but the restaurant was full of bees that didn 't let us eat. The waitress told us that it is the season and...outside there 's even more . When we asked for the bill, the waitress told us that she was busy and that we should ask it from another waitress. we waited 10 minutes till we saw the other waitress to ask her for the bill. Terrible service.
Right at the crossroads in the little village sitting on the terrace of the Dorfwirt Gasthof you can watch the world go by (and almost everything that happening on the streets in the town). A nice beer and a nice location.
