Mcalister's Deli - Lee's Summit

Following my review, the restaurant group reached out to me to get more insight on my experience. They seemed genuinely interested in my feedback and offered me a chance to try another meal at McAlister's. My second visit was much better overall. I chose the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) based on a recommendation from their customer service, paired with a fresh fruit salad and unsweetened iced tea. Unfortunately, the tea was not great, and the fruit salad consisted of oddly small pieces of underripe cantaloupe and honeydew with just one piece of pineapple. It seems some customers request "just pineapple," resulting in the rest of the fruit being left behind. On the bright side, the sandwich was fantastic—loaded with avocado, nice bacon, fresh veggies, and decent bread with just the right amount of mayo. I noticed that salt and pepper are typically added to this sandwich, so I asked for no salt. Overall, if you know what to order, you can enjoy a really good meal at a great price here. My main complaints are that there are too many unhealthy options (with some desserts exceeding 1100 calories), unnecessary salt on many sandwiches, and a lack of vegetables in several of them. Additionally, the fruit salad had unripe melons that were not proportional. Under normal circumstances, this would warrant a three-star review, but due to the outstanding customer service I received both online and in the restaurant, I feel a four-star rating is appropriate. McAlister's makes an effort to rectify poor experiences, which I greatly appreciate.

I really enjoy their New Yorker sandwich, and my family is a big fan of the salads. We all love their sweet tea. Honestly, I don’t have much negative to say, except that whenever we dine in, there always seems to be a hair in the soup. It’s not the worst thing that could happen, but now I'm the only one who orders the soup, and no one else wants to go near it. On the bright side, the staff is incredibly friendly!

I had an excellent experience thanks to the store manager's outstanding service. My family arrived just before closing time, which I know can be inconvenient for staff. When our food arrived, it didn't quite meet my usual expectations for McAlister's. However, the manager handled the situation like a true professional, using it as a teachable moment for his young team. He quickly addressed all our concerns and went above and beyond to make it right. I truly appreciated the kindness he showed after a long, hot day of softball. Thank you, sir!

We visit this place frequently and absolutely love it! The staff is courteous, and the food is definitely worth the price.

McAlister's is definitely my top choice for dining with my family. The staff is consistently friendly, the prices are affordable, the food is served promptly, and it’s always delicious. The mac and cheese is absolutely fantastic!
