I received top notch service in a beautiful and immaculately clean setting. The food was a culinary delight. I had the Scalops and they were quite delicious. This was the type of experience I might expect from a large population area, and then only maybe. Nestled in Libby, MT, the Blackboard Bistro is truly an unexpected gem and has my highest recommendation. Parking: Parking is along the side of the road But there's plenty, nothing to worry about. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Vanilla Bear Panna Cotta Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free street parking
Used to be the best place for a great meal, great service and good wine. All cooked to order in a nice bistro atmosphere small group tables. Reservations required. Didn't mind the cost as a special treat for a great meal was worth it. Was one of our favorites. But... the last time we dined here, the service was ok to marginal, not first class and our dinner could only be compared to a skillet pasta, no more three or four courses. The only other choice was pizza. RUKM? Still high price. I wrote the owner on our receipt asking if he was going out of business. Haven't been back since as I can't justify the cost of food I could get out of a box. To be fair, it's been over a year since we went here. Miss having a nice place to dine out.
Very limited menu, from the outside The Black Board Bistro does not look inviting. The setting is a house on the edge of town a nice outdoor patio area would have been nice. Plus I was on vacation in the middle of nice Montana forest land. Not sure if I could get in the door with a t-shirt, shorts and hiking boots.
This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, good wine and wonderful dessert. I recommend this restaurant to everyone! This is the go to date night spot for my husband and I! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Dietary restrictions accommodated: Not sure
First impressions, not impressed!! The front porch and entry hall could use a good scrubbing. Upon entering, there were 2 people dining in the restaurant. The waitress wanted to seat us by the door, I asked for another table because I would be cold, she seemed bothered by my request. My husband had the filet/shrimp. The broccoli on his plate was burnt. Actually black! Really!!!! My pasta was bland in appearance as well as taste. If you really want to spend 100.00 on dinner, go ahead, but they won't get my again.
