Unfortunately, my son was charged an additional £60 for the non-attendance of his sick children and their mum. This seemed like a stingy gesture to me, especially considering that the restaurant was not full when we were there. I understand that coming out of a pandemic, things are tough for the hospitality industry. However, I believe that empathy should go both ways, and in this case, it was lacking on the part of the restaurant team at Hara.
This restaurant is one of the best in the province, in my opinion. We enjoyed two amazing starters, with the beef starter standing out as one of the best I've ever had at any restaurant. The two main courses were also great. While one of the desserts didn't quite suit our taste, everything we tried was fresh, seasonal, and beautifully cooked. The service was also lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant - you won't regret it!
I thoroughly enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, with unique and delicious flavors. The four of us enjoyed our three-course meals. I would have given it 5 stars, but I found it to be a bit pricey. It cost £300 for four people, including one non-drinker and one person who only had two drinks, which I felt was quite high. Despite the cost, I would still highly recommend this restaurant as it is a special dining experience. Just be aware that it is on the more expensive side.
Wow, There are many superb restaurants in Ulster where the food is brilliant. Obviously Hara is one, however that is only half the story because oh my! the food is always exceptional. At Hara it's the whole experience, the welcome, the friendliness the ambiance, everything is so superbly done. I think personally when you eat some where and you realise the staff are so proud of the place they work it totally shines through it makes your experience so memorable. I genuinely can't be more effusive about the service you encounter. All can add is treat yourself just go you will never regret it, no seriously go NOW right NOW!
This was our first visit to Hara since pre pandemic times, and all my anxiety about eating out melted away as we were greeted by the warm, knowledgeable front of house. Steps had been taken to make the place Covid safe, and the staff's knowledge of the food and wine on offer was second to none. The food was excellent as always, from a menu put together with creative flair and using seasonal, local ingredients. The dishes served here would rival some much more expensive restaurants' offerings. We had a fantastic evening and can't wait to go back.
