Spikes - Loulé

Menu of the day was superb, 3 courses for €35, service great in a fantastic setting

The food was excellent but we were unsure whether to eat inside or outside and we were encouraged to eat outside and did so not realising that there were some rowdy golfers enjoying a post round session. We hoped they would quieten down but sadly the noise level kept alternating and the language became worse and worse and they eventually staggered off to catch the resort bus as we finished our main course. We decided to return to our resort and commented on the situation to the server when paying the bill who said it is a common problem. So we should have moved back inside but would recommend anyone visiting Spikes to eat inside and avoid the circus outside

As with most venues in Vale do Lobo you are paying for the views and location as with Spikes so food etc becomes secondary hence people are happy to pay.

A lovely setting in a wonderful resort. The food and service were excellent. It’s such a relaxed spot and the facilities are spotless.

Great food and very attentive service. Would recommend for any occasion.
