The food came fast, which makes sense because it was on par with most fast food in Austin. The mac and cheese was chewy, the coleslaw was flavorless (except for the copious amounts of pepper they poured on it), the actual brisket sandwich was pretty mediocre, but tolerable. Even they couldn't screw up chopped brisket. I'm a guy who's happy with Do-Rite BBQ and HEB BBQ, so it's not like I have high BBQ standards. If I'm complaining, you know it's bad. Only good thing. The service was fast. I mean, the food was probably cooked this morning, and put under a heat fan, so I would hope so.

Maybe we just caught them on an off night, but our takeout order was terrible. Brisket was dry and no sauce was provided, Mac and cheese was cold, congealed and dry with very mushy pasta. Coleslaw was discolored/grayish and tasted sour as though it had been made several days ago and begun to spoil. Everything tasted like leftovers past their prime. The only detectable flavor in all of it was that of way too much black pepper. We were afraid to continue eating in case it truly was spoiled, so we threw out $60 worth of BBQ. Disappointing.
