Ichi Don Japanese - Markham

A really comfortable place to have dinner with your colleagues. The service is really good and the price is modest; the food taste is really great and can tell that is an option around the place.

You get 10% off for take out if you pay cash. Staff is friendly. I ate here before covid and it's a nice atmosphere with friends. Recently Ordered take out and it was packaged really well. Love the aburis. Not so much a fan of the towers, whcih is basically fried rice with sashimi on top. A bit too crunchy and dry for me. Would come back again

Been looking for a good Japanese restaurant, in my area there alot of not so great places. So finally I have found a place that serves fresh fish that is high quality! Most of the places that I've tried just slop it together and throw alot of mayo on it to hide the low quality fish. I had the chirashi don and it was great and fresh, there's defintely attention to detail and presentation as well. I also had the ramen and the broth reminds me of San Francisco Japantown ramen. This place deserves more stars.

Comments are specifically for (1) Katsu Don, (2) Ramen. Do not bother if you are coming in for those items on the menu. The ramen is so bad I rather have an instant noodle at home. The sauce on the Katsu pretty much ruin the whole dish.

I ordered an unagi don for lunch for takeout and it was sooo delicious! so much care was put in the rice bowl and the server was super sweet, would definitely visit again to try other dishes!
