Enjoy dining in a bright and light, open atmosphere with windows from wall to wall with views of fed square and flinders station. <br/ <br/ My highlight would have to be the thinly sliced wagyu that’s been lightly seared and topped with stringy fries <br/ Next up is the tofu dumplings! I loved it’s simplicity and very subtle flavour. <br/ And last but not least and the ultimate end to my very satisfying experience was the banana soufflé! Love the tanginess of the passion fruit syrup on the soufflé. <br/ <br/ Amazing customer service here! Super friendly staff who are welcoming and helpful with specials and menu.
Must try the Sichuan duck (with 5 spice caramel)! There was so much flavour; it was beautiful. The daily special of beef cheeks tasted like any other beef cheeks, but nonetheless, delicious. The hiramasa kingfish (with ponzu dressing) was good but didn’t stand out like the others. The candy pork belly (with pickled papaya and nam Jim) was the second favourite! So flavoursome!! Taxi kitchen had big windows which let the natural light shine through, a beautiful interior with an amazing view of parts of the city.

For a 180 degree view of Melbourne's city skyline, Yarra River and Arts Precinct, journey to Taxi Kitchen in Federation Square's Transport Hotel. Hosting cocktail events, a la carte dining, pre-show drinks and boasting three private function dining rooms, Taxi Kitchen dazzles guests with views through floor to ceiling glass windows complemented by earthy tones, indoor greenery and natural light for a clean, semi-alfresco feel. Playful menu items provoke a certain inquisitiveness of guests, charmingly presented on a bed of black pebbles, rustic wooden boards or in colourful, textured dishes. Delight in any or all six courses from seared scallops with red radish, smoked chilli mayo and katiafi…
