Cranberry Inn - Mercer

We enjoyed dinner 2 times during our week in Mercer. Being open on Monday was the first draw for us. Our dinner that night was very good. My filet was tender and done well and my husband's ribs were fall off the bone tender. We returned for our last night in Mercer and his rib eye was awesome and I recommend the Walleye. I ordered it pan fried and it was fantastic.

We absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE!! Food, cleanliness, and service are consistently above and beyond. The new chef has taken dining here to a new level with more daily seasonal specials while keeping the old favorites. We have yet to be disappointed!! Hands down, the best of the Northwoods.

Arrived last year late without reservations and they could not have been more accommodating. Our only disappointment was being too late to eat as their menu was fabulous and the dining room so cozy. Wanted to come back this year but as we are operating our own little cafe/bar and found help too hard to come by so couldn't get away. Thankful never to have had anyone complain about our wait times or slow service. Everyone is trying so hard with fewer workers. Not an easytime to be in the service industry! Will try to make it back next year! ????

My husband and I had company for the weekend and wanted to take them someplace nice to eat. We had never been here before and the reviews looked good. We arrived at about 7:15pm and was promptly seated. We were done looking at the menus when the waitress came to take our drink orders never inquiring if we were ready to order. It took the waitress about 15 minutes to get 4 drinks, none alcoholic). She left the drinks and left again never inquiring if we were ready toorder. By the time we ordered we had been there approximately 40-45 minutes. I had to inquire if we were getting our soup before our meal, it took that long. Finally our soup arrives, we are done eating our soup and it took another 15-20minutes to get our meal. My steak was wrong but everything else was good. The waitress never ask if we would like refills on drinks. I asked to speak with the manager who came to our table. I explained everything and she stated she neededto go to the person above her. That person never came out just told her give them a discount. I must add there were only 4 tables occupied. For the price you pay there 4 people $145.00 for nothing out of the ordinary) they were extremelyslow and the waitress tried to make up excuses. I would not recommend unless you have at least half a day to waist.

My husband and I have been coming up here for 5 years and we LOVE this place for their prime rib, excellent service and they have THE BEST chicken alfredo I have ever tasted. We appreciate you and your hard work, and delicious food!
