Order everything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. We tried a variety of items, but the standout for me was the Masalaries (or possibly the butter chicken giants?). Regardless, it was absolutely amazing.
I love finding unique restaurants that offer tasty different cuisine, and Rick's Good Eats is definitely my biggest find of 2019! Rick, the owner, was the winner of Loblaw's Recipe to Riches TV competition for new product ideas, with his butter Chicken Lasagna. He has... this theme of Indian/Canadian fusion to create one of the best casual restaurants in GTA, with traditional Canadian comfort food with the fabulous flavors of India. Some of the delights we enjoyed there include delicious butter chicken Mac cheese, mouthwatering punjabi burgers, delicious and super spicy dosa burgers (potato with tasty toppings), incredible, crispy cauliflower bites, and amazing masala fries that have tasted the best, crispy fries I've ever tasted. I live in Georgetown, 30 km from Rick's Good Eats, but since my first visit a week and half an hour I've been back twice. That's it. This is definitely a place everyone who loves food must visit!
The decor is underwhelming and the ambience is very basic but the food has some winners. the fries are a must, the dosa burger is a decent classic...the daily samosa was a let down (hey staff, maybe tell customer that the samosa is basically the...dosa burger). the drinks are over priced but to be expected. the fried chicken was a nice surprise. overall, if you came for the fries and ordered nothing else you'd be ok justifying your trip.
The food was tasty and the service was quick. The spices used on our burgers and fries were just right, not too spicy but still flavorful. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
