Oriental Teahouse Chadstone - Monash

This is now a regular destination for the tastiest dumplings around. Service is attentive and speedy. The food is varied and delicious with food wine and several teas to match. All round a great place to eat.

My wife and I are regular visitors to the oriental teahouse at Chadstone shopping centre, we are never disappointed the service is great the food is fantastic and fresh. The Peking duck pancakes are excellent as are all types of Dumplings fried or steamed, try the Calamari and octopus very tasty . While it is not cheap I can assure you the money you pay will be worth it we average $80 with a glass of wine each.Enjoy

Went with friends for dinner. Food was very tasty - I had calamari, duck and dim sums, all of it was very tasty, but the service was pressured and we felt that we were being rushed to eat and leave, even though the restaurant was half full at entry and remained half full on exiting. Plates that were literally finished were rushed off before we could even refill them. Staff were courteous but clearly didn't listen until we told them off to leave the plates. Nice food, poor service and I won't be going back very soon.

We had reserved a table for six people on Monday (Labour day holiday) for lunch - what a mistake. We were shown to our table and left to sit for 10 minutes, then one menu was put on the table and a few minutes later a waiter arrived and asked what we wanted. We said that with one menu all hadn't had a chance to look at it. After a while he had found a couple more menus and eventually we ordered. Then the wait began, one dish arrivedhalf an hour later then another and most of the others over the next 2 hours. We eventually got fed up and told them to cancel the rest as we were leaving. We were charged for them all on the bill until we pointed out that we had not received them. The food we did have was average and the service - there wasn't any. Will not be returning.

The best dumplings in Melbourne...my favourite hands down was the duck spring rolls, they were AMAZING! We had so many dishes...each and every dish was sublime. Head outside of Chadstone and step into the Orient...you'll love it!
