The stunning view of the main square and the Cathedral was surpassed only by the stellar service and delicious breakfast. The complimentary baked goods to start the meal were divine, and all 6 of our menu choices were perfectly prepared and delicious. And all at stunningly reasonable prices, too. This place has become a must-do for us on every trip to Michoacan.
We just stumbled upon this romantic and fabulous restaurant on the second floor of this boutique hotel right on the plaza. You enter by a grand stone staircase to a dining room that you're more apt to find in Paris than Mexico. The risotto called to me from the large menu downstairs under the portales and it did not disappoint, but the asparagus with Roquefort cheese appetizer or salad (can't remember which was to die for! Romantic dining room (although I wasn't crazy about the lighting from the chandelier in the center of the room . The service was excellent table maintenance impecable and our choices from the menu not only tasted fabulous, the risotto was piping hot (which is rare for any restaurant! . Lastly, the price of the food was incredible. We easily could have paid double for what we ordered at another restaurant and if in the US, triple! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!
If you wish on having an elegant dinner overseeing the main square in Morelia this is the place.. specially at night when the fire works stars every Saturday at 8:45 sharp. The food is excellent ans the prices are mid range.
The hotel (and restaurant) is one of Morelias most beautiful colonial houses, in the heart of the city centre. I loved the architecture, the restaurant and the terrace.
