Chi-town Dawgs - Murray

I am from Chicago, so I have high standards when it comes to Chicago-style hotdogs and beef sandwiches. With that being said, this restaurant really nailed the Chicago-style hotdog. The addition of cucumber was a unique touch that I enjoyed. The hotdog itself might not have been a Vienna dog, but I won't nitpick. The beef in the sandwich was sliced extremely thin, almost shredded, just like it should be. The au jus was tasty. Overall, the food was well-prepared. The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely dine here again.

Very authentic Chicago style food. Best gyro I've had since living in Chicago. Awesome that they have the Chicago style tamales too.

My wife and I were in Murray needing something to lunch and found this place on Google. Since I am from Chicago, I was excited to try this place. My wife and I both ordered some Italian Beefs with hot giardiniera on them. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the sweet peppers but regardless we both really enjoyed our Italian Beef. My only regret is that I didn't the sandwich dipped so the bread had more broth. It's not as good as my favorite Italian Beef places back home but it's the best one I have tasted outside Chicago.

This restaurant is a great spot to grab a hotdog, especially if you enjoy chili. I suggest that if you want a chili dog with no cheese, make sure to specify that when ordering as it may come with cheese by default. The parking lot is usually empty, providing plenty of parking options. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making it a suitable place for families with children. The building is wheelchair accessible with no stairs to enter, but there is a slight downward slope in the parking lot to be cautious of.

When you first arrive at the restaurant, it may not look open until you reach the parking lot. This could be due to the dated appearance of the building. The staff members were welcoming and attentive. Although I would have liked the chili cheese dog to be bigger, it was still tasty. The portion of fries was surprisingly generous, and the cheeseburger was decent for a hot dog joint. With a diverse menu selection, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
