The Garganelli was delicious—and the truffle was subtle enough that anyone could enjoy it. I started with the beef carpaccio, which was amazing. It was thin slices of raw beef on a plate covered with delicious toppings. Though unorthodox (with what I’ve had), I’m happy to say it’s one of the best I’ve had. The tiramisu was delicious. I’d skip the banana split. Good ambiance outdoors, and lively even at 10pm.
Smaller portions but very very good food and cocktails. Pastas and breads all made in house. Solid menu/specials and really good service.
Outside space in a busy street of walkers and restaurants Happy hour has great choices and small plates They don’t rush you which I’d very nice even though it is happy hour
I have been to their sister restaurant osteria tulia several times and have been satisfied. This was my first visit to bar tulia in mercato and it was disappointing with meager portion sizes and food and overpriced drinks. I had the garganeli with lamb. Their was no meat and the pasta was over-sauced. the portion was served in an oversized bowl and the pasta barely covered the bottom. My friend had the swordfish which was size of a tiny wedge of cheese. His plate was 90% beans and vegetables. I ordered a house chianti which was $16. The food was mediocre as well . Will think many times but probably not going back. I think there are just overcharging the in season tourists.
We had lunch at BarTulia after shopping at the Mercato. Our food was good but the staff was exceptional in the person of Nathan. We were trying to call UBER but our phone was not cooperating, so Nathan, one of the staff members, came over to assist. He not only helped us complete the call to Uber but stayed with us throughout the process even to the time when the car arrived. Such a wonderful young man! Many thanks!
