I'll say it was well prepared. the server then presented us a desert as a jubilee gift for us. it was the Belgian chocolate. that was a welcome surprise. we didn't even think it was gloomy. I never had Belgian chocolate. I can see why people do a big thing about it. So, I highly recommend going to this place. If we ever make it to negril again, wee with me would be one of the reasons why.
We had a bit of trouble locating the restaurant due to poor signage, but I’m glad we found it. The servers were lovely, although they didn’t seem to have much knowledge about wine. We wanted to order wine by the glass, but they were unsure about its origin, so we requested to see the bottle. Once we did, everything was fine. The smoked marlin was outstanding (just make sure to order it when it’s served), and the short ribs and potatoes were among the best I’ve ever had. I truly hope their business flourishes, and I look forward to returning next year. We would definitely go back.
The server was attentive and genuinely focused on our needs, and the owner even stopped by our table to wish us a happy anniversary. Every dish we ordered was presented beautifully and was exceptionally well-prepared. The evening couldn't have gone better if we had planned it out ourselves. We started with baked Brie and saltfish in coconut milk. For the main courses, my wife enjoyed the oxtail ravioli while I had the pork meatballs. We initially selected a particular wine, but when we found out it was unavailable, I felt a bit disappointed. However, we then opted for a Louis Latour, which turned out to be a fantastic choice that paired perfectly with our meal. The server surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary—a delicious Belgian chocolate. It was a delightful surprise, and I had never tasted Belgian chocolate before; now I understand why it's so highly regarded. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. If we ever return to Negril, "Wine with Me" will definitely be one of the reasons for our visit!
We had a bit of trouble finding the restaurant due to poor signage, but I'm glad we persevered. The servers were friendly, although they didn't seem very knowledgeable about wine. We wanted to have some wine by the glass, and they weren't sure about the origins, so we requested to see the bottle. Once we sorted that out, everything was great. The smoked marlin was outstanding (make sure to ask for extra bread when it's served), and the short ribs and potatoes were among the best we've ever had. I hope their business picks up and that they thrive by the time we return next year. We would definitely eat here again.
We had a bit of difficulty locating the restaurant due to inadequate signage, but I'm glad we persevered. The staff were friendly, though they lacked knowledge about the wine selection. We wanted to order wine by the glass, but they couldn't tell us the origin, so we requested to see the bottle. Once we got past that, our experience was well worth it. The smoked marlin was exceptional (be sure to ask for extra bread when it’s served), and the short ribs and potatoes were among the best we've ever had. I hope their business improves and that they're still around when we return next year. We would definitely visit again.
