Trattoria Cicerenella - NOLA

One of the few choices open for a meal on a Sunday evening. Food was good the seafood pasta was exceptional (scialatielli ai frutti di mare). Limited wine list. Friendly, if rustic, ambiance. Good value prices. Parking can be tricky since it's in the historic center.

We went there on a sunny day, uphill location (you have to really WALK to the place), tables inside and outside, we selected a table for two inside. Nice, friendly-chic environment, comfortable chairs. Good service, the servers knew the dishes they were serving and described them precisely: no menus, the server TELLS you the dishes you can order but you have no idea of how much they will cost... The Appetizer they recommended came in big square dish and it was ' 'ok ' as it also featured a sort of a mashed-potato in a glass jar, unfortunately absolutely tasteless): the rest of the appetizer was good. House wine was ok, Pasta dish were VERY good but it is my impression that the portions could be larger. The dessert was also ok . Would I come back? Yes, I would and would recommend it to you. But don 't select the recommended appetizer and/or go straight to the Pasta dishes. Not too expensive.

Five of us went here and had a great night . Food was without fault. We will return next time we visit Nola
