Love the inside of the dining room and the big wood beam ceiling. Reminds me of an old barn. Food was fantastic! I got the steak burger and the southwest egg rolls, hubby got a bacon burger. Delicious. We didn't have room for dessert but the dessert menu looked pretty good too. There's a big area in the back of the restaurant which looks to be dedicated to catering events, though I'm not 100% sure, you would have to ask the staff.
Had reservations for eight of us for 5:30 PM on a Tuesday. Haven’t seen some of these girls in a while and used to work with each other. We are all getting together for dinner and chat.Come to find out it was trivia night and we were rushed through dinner. Even though the waitress said if we wanted to hang around for trivia, we could. Received our check at 6:30. We were sitting around talking afterwards when someone came over to clear off the end of our table. There were people waiting to get in. I didn’t realize they were waiting for our table that I had reserved. We felt rushed so we left on our way out. A woman said to the people who are waiting for that table for trivia I assume. That we will get that table cleaned up for you right away right in front of us as if was our fault they had to wait.It was very rude!!!!
We were looking for a place to have dinner on our way home from a week in Rhode Island. We have stopped in Old Saybrook before to eat at a different place. They were booked this time so we took a chance on The Little Pub. It got great reviews, it has gluten free options which we would need and something for everyone in our group. While the wait time time was good for the table, the wait for the food was a little longer. They clearly were very busy so we understood. A few of the dishes came out incorrect. They did not remake the burger, just scraped off the toppings that we didn’t want. Luckily it turned out ok but if someone was actually allergic, that would have been an issue. The salad came out with croutons which was an issue as my mom has celiacs Hopefully they didn’t just scrape those off. The food was excellent: the beer battered sandwich was awesome. The chicken tortilla soup was awesome. I love the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it. Wish they had one where we lived
Our food was delicious and our waitress was so friendly and helpful! The portions are very big! Definitely a keeper!
Wonderful place. We stop here every year after dropping our kids off at a nearby camp. The buck a shuck oysters are wonderful with a nice glass of white. Service was great and food is excellent. Definitely worth the visit.Food: 5/5
