The maitresse d' is efficient and helpful, the view either outside on the balcony or inside in the something didty, but convenient banquets, is for to die. We usually order the pizzas that are good and most others that we have tried are perfect. Garlic bread is generous and delicious with rosemary and cheese. The wine list is economical with only 4 overpriced reds without great difference. The pasta is unfortunately very substandard....a huge serving of overcooked sluggish spaghetti cut into shorter lengths and drowned in the sauce. I suspect that the pasta was cooked in the sauce for a long time instead of being dead. there shortly before serving. Meatballs hugely dry and tasteless. A great shame. This is a relaxed and very pleasant place where most foods are quite acceptable and affordable. But be warned. Unless something changes NOT THE PASTA!
The pizzas at this restaurant were the worst we've ever had. We purchased three gourmet pizzas and they were just terrible. We had previously supported the restaurant during the Covid period by buying their delicious pizza bases, but we made a bad decision by buying their pizzas. We will definitely not be doing that again.
We recently visited Rise at City Beach for a pizza dinner and were quite disappointed. The service was poor, the music was unpleasantly loud, and the restaurant was very cold due to all the doors being open. While the food was decent, it was not the best. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience and do not plan on returning.
First visit and very impressed. The pizza was first-class big crust and fantastic sauce. The salad was exceptionally full of taste Serve was sufficient in these difficult times and you could share the bill.
Gosh I am so disappointed to write this. Rocked up to our reservation just a little under 7. Was greeted with an ill mannered gentleman claimed to me the owner) who thought he could chose who he would like to smile to and who...he can tossed off with a nasty attitude. We asked to be seated outside with a good view so we could enjoy sunset. Sat us partner and toddler) right in the smack of the full scorching sun. Asked if he could move, his answer “nope sorry all reserved”. Right a few min earlier a group that was behind us in the queue who announced they were a walk in and had no reservation whatsoever got that same table I wanted. Not just one of such cases happened I saw, 2-3 walk in parties getting seated at a table that was “supposedly” to be reserved. No smile whatsoever, during service as if they wanted us to get lost as soon as possible. Felt somehow racist!! We just couldn’t bare to finish our meal and decided to get it packed. That too I got a pizza box to box our rocket salad and calamari salad. After asking to get a container that could hold liquid, I was told we are trying to limit our plastic usage. Yes by all means do so but don’t give me a pizza box to put all my three dishes which composed of 2 salads, there are loads of recycling options that you could use for salads/liquids. Anyhow long story short- never setting my foot there after getting such a horrible/ demeaning service!!
