In winter we sit in the bar, but the dining room is cosy as well. Ann has waited on us most times. She is excellent. Sometimes things get really busy, but everyone does their best to make sure you have a great time. Well worth the drive from Keene
So this is my second review so the bellows inn. As with all businesses staff is the biggest challenge and the biggest benefit . The current chief manager and bartender combination are wonderful. The food changes regularly and is adventurous and great. It has become my favorite again
Came here last night after reviewing their menu online and thinking it looked pretty decent but we encountered nothing but problems. First and foremost, the menu of 20+ items online was not what we received when we came through the door. It was instead replaced with a much smaller (and more expensive) menu with only 5 entree choices. Seemed like a real bait and switch. Worse even than that, the dining room was extremely hot temperature wise, I 'd guess north of 80 degrees easily. The restaurant is supposed to be air conditioned so we mentioned it to the server and asked if the air could be turned on. Her response was to say that she agrees its very hot but the owner didn 't think it was hot enough for the AC to be turned on and if we thought it was bad in the dining room we should check out the kitchen, where she claimed it was 110 degrees. Ridiculous. We finished our drinks and left. None of us were comfortable and it didn 't feel worth it to pay 30 dollars for a rib-eye while we were literally dripping sweat. We spoke with some other patrons on the way out, they mentioned their rooms were equally hot. When they called down to ask about AC, the hotel staff brought up a fan to push the 90 degree air around their room. I would avoid this place at all costs, at least in the summer months.
Absolutely beautiful space and great food. Area artists' work is on display. Old New England with a modern twist.
Had a delicious dinner on the heated back patio, overlooking the hills. Menu was not too big but full of great options. Lamb chops were cooked perfectly.
