A real God. On the good side, the service was really nice, smiling, and the atmosphere in this small restaurant is very friendly and family oriented.
We were there in the beautiful autumn afternoon. Location is fantastic. In the middle of the wine cellar without traffic. The selection of foods fits with region and wine cellar. Service was very fast and polite. Goat cheese in bacon with salad was tasteful. Storm also perfect. It is a beautiful experience to spend time there.
We had no expectations for this location as it was simply a stopping point midway between destinations. What a pleasant surprise to find the area and this eatery. It appears that this area is part of a wine tour as well as a destination for cyclists. It is essentially a ramblas of wine cellars that also serve food. Not all of them were open and I am not entirely sure how it works, but upon entering this town we passed kilometers of vineyards, so I am assuming this is where the local producers share their wine. Anyway, this particular wine hut serves food that is outstanding. They do have an English menu, but we were the only English speakers in the area. At least one of the waiters spoke English, but we did have confusion upon ordering. However, what they did bring us to eat was great. We had a bean strudel, typical Austrian cold sausage plate, and some type of roasted pork with a stuffing side. I wish we had more time as I would have ordered more. The prices were ridiculously reasonable and the atmosphere outstanding for a Spring day. I will research returning to this area and returning to this eatery to try more from the menu. I am sure the wine list was superb, but we were not able to partake this particular day.
No matter when and how (one is still breezy) you are always welcome. Very nice ambiente and above average friendly staff.Eating/Trinken can be at absolutely everything at very pleasant prices.Make just more so!
There fits everything: rustic, cozy, friendly family, beautiful weine, Burgenland's tassel and a super price/performance ratio...
