I tried to push it to break it and push the ice the other side. it's good, just need another presentation.
DELICIOUS wheels. if they are looking for a reaaaaaallly good Rarmen place, they don't look any further. I love the authenticity of this place – the series of imported Japanese beer, the Japanese flavor on the table and the authentic Japanese dishes on the menu. You compare this raven with the famous marufuku in san fran, I must say haru wins. the broth and the chashu is deeper in taste and I love the small details of the extra-flege they are in their ravines like the marinating of the egg, and the many extra tips that come with the ravines like the narutomaki (yumm! small dinge, the marufuku missing. service was friendly and very attentive!
To ram for the third time and the last few experiences not to be so big. haru raised my spirits and killed my experiences with their incredibly delicious and delicious rams and appetizers. it brought ramen back to life for me as it should be for others! I really mean. we came in,got greeted and sat right away from our server angelica who has the customer service beyond expectations. they made sure we got everything we ordered, as well as the review with us to make sure we were in order throughout our time. a great thank you to them! we went ahead and ordered their tonkotsu shoyu ramen with level 2 seasoned (perfect on the seasoned,) bacon scallops and their pig bells. everything was very good and so authentic. the bacon scallops and pork belly skewers very cooked to perfection and hot as it came on our table. then came our smoker who looked wonderful and very tasty as they can see in my pictures that I posted. the noodles beautiful and soft; I could not have asked for something like we enjoyed our meal times to the fullest! They have ramen for me again called into life, and this is now my “to-go-to” spot that I will come from now on. if they have not tried ramen or have not tried this place, haru will not be disappointed!
The wait staff wasn't the most prompt since I was sitting at the bar. However I understand with staffing limitations in service industries. The bar could of been a bit more tidy, but that detail is negligible to me. Everything about my menu was phenomenal. The chicken karaage was cooked perfectly. The seaweed salad was simple yet tasted fresh and wasn't slimy, best I've had to date anywhere. The tsuyunashi was a delightful break from regular Ramen. The star of the show, however, was the Kuro Ramen. My mouth was lost in a multitude of flavors. I could not believe the symphony playing in my mouth. Well worth the wait and money in my opinion. Hands down one of the best places I've eaten in reno. Hats off to the chefs and the prep staff.
Haru specializes in ramen and they do it well. I'm the kind of person who likes variety and trying new things... Haru is the only restaurant where I've ordered the exact same thing 5 times in a row. Why mess with perfection? If you can handle spice, GET THEIR BLACK GARLIC RAMEN. It's incredibly flavorful, filled with aroma oil and creamy tonkotsu broth. Service has always been polite to us. They have a row of fridges filled with fun asian popsicles/mochi icecream, and drinks from brands like Ito En. BEST TAKOYAKI IN TOWN! I REPEAT, BEST TAKOYAKI IN TOWN! It's crispy yet soft yet chewy, with all of the correct condiments. Something else cool: they're one of those places with an open kitchen. You can easily see the cooks grilling your yakitori, and pulling baskets of piping hot noodles from the water. Oh. And it generally gets to your table fast. I don't think I've waited more than 10mins past ordering before a steaming hot bowl of delicious ramen was put in front of me. Their ajitama could be a little better UPDATE THEY NOW MAKE GOOD AJITAMA TOO!!! but honestly their tonkotsu broth is so good I don't care. I wish I could save the soup! Whenever I have any broth left over I take it home and try to stretch it out by adding more noodles. They also have a small but tasty assortment of cute cocktails including a seasonal special, and an assortment of Japanese whiskeys, and soju. Give them a try!
