Their cakes and pastries can be very Good. I don't always find their cookies the freshest. Tables outside is a nice touch. I wish their employees wore masks.
Our wedding venue, Reid Castle, included a cake from DiMare as part of the package. The cake we chose—lemon blueberry with chantilly cream—was not only delicious but also visually stunning. Our guests absolutely loved it! My mom and I had a great time during the tasting, where we sampled 15 different types of cake, making it quite a challenge to decide on just one! We were initially worried that they might charge extra for different designs or flavors since the cake was included in our venue package, but we were pleasantly surprised. They were very flexible and transparent about what was included, which was a relief.
I ordered delivery for a last-minute gathering and was really pleased with the desserts. The chocolate cake squares were moist and delicious, while the carrot cake was quite good. The cannoli nachos were a hit with the kids; the portions were very generous. Lastly, the mini pastry assortment offered a nice variety that the guests really enjoyed. Overall, everything was great!
I feel compelled to write this review with great disappointment. I have bought several of the same cakes in the past for special occasions, and they were always fantastic. However, the cake they made for my son's college graduation was a letdown and tasted like something you'd get from a supermarket. The lobster cream tasted like whipped cream, and my buttercream icing was also just whipped cream. To make matters worse, they didn't use the colored sprinkles that I had requested. Perhaps there was a different pastry chef this time, but it was definitely not worth the $52 I spent; I wouldn't even pay $20 for what I received. I was so embarrassed to serve this to my guests.
