The server did not come to the table to greet us for 15 min. If it was not for the great food this review would of been much less. The food was excellent. The Cajun pasta was very good. The wedge salad was great. Friends had the shrimp and grits and said it was amazing. If the service was better this would of been a great experience.
Billy's Restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience that earns a well-deserved five stars for both the shrimp and grits and the prime rib. The shrimp and grits were a visual and culinary delight. The presentation was impeccable, with vibrant cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of green onions adding color and freshness to the dish. The grits were creamy and rich, perfectly complemented by succulent shrimp cooked to perfection. The flavor was a harmonious blend of savory and slightly tangy, making each bite a pleasure. The prime rib was equally impressive, showcasing Billy’s commitment to quality. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, tender and juicy, with a robust flavor that highlighted the quality of the meat. The accompanying sides were equally well-prepared, enhancing the overall dining experience. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. From the moment we were seated, we felt well taken care of, making our meal even more enjoyable. Billy’s Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience.
Steak was over cooked however over all the sides were fabulous.
MY partner and I shared 4 lamb lollypops (excellently cooked, plenty of meat, interesting sauce), a wedge salad (very fresh and crispy, with tons of excellent blue cheese), and the crab cake dinner portion (2 large crab cakes, very good as well). We had a French 75 (good to very good) and a bottle of the 2021 Caymus Suisun the Walking Fool (excellent of course but also very reasonably priced). Our waiter was a gem and the managers too- they let us visit the rest of this very big establishment. Next time we are in Roanoke, we definitely visit again
