Tellement bon! Il y a beaucoup de choix sans gluten! Mes fistons cœliaques ont adoré pouvoir goûter à tout ce qu’il y avait dans nos assiettes! Un pur bonheur! Voir tous les avis.
English: Three things stand out about Gréco's in both a gastronomic and Hellenic sense.
We did not have high hopes for this restaurant but staying in Roberval for 3 nights, there are a limited number of restaurants to go to. We should have left straight away as the lack of greeting at reception gave us an indication of what to expect but it was late and we were hungry. It was some time before someone deigned to come over for our order but was perfectly pleasant when she did. We then waited around 5 minutes and got a second person come to take our order. After some confusion as my French does not cover "the other waitress has already taken my order". Another 5 minutes and we got our wine, expensive and just about drinkable. The water was not topped up until half way through our meal, the only restaurant in our 4 weeks in Quebec where this happened. The food was Ok, not good but not bad and certainly not Greek. We paid and left. Probably the worst meal of our holiday. I would not recommend and wished we had gone back to one of the other restaurants in town.
This restaurant offer a "Classical" canadian "Greek" food menu wich mainly consist in seafood and various grilled meat. The food was ok, we had the "Corfu" plate, on the plate, chicken, salmon, shrimps, langoustine, rice, potatoes and salad. The chicken eas very good, crab was ok but cook in water without enough salt, shrimps were good, langoustine overcooked and we tought that the overall food was lacking of seasoning. The service was good but a little slow and the dinning room can be very noisy when crowded. Finally, if you're looking for authentic Greek food and flavour, you might end up dissapointed.Hope this help
The proprietor, who also does the cooking, is not Greek: and it shows. The first disappointment was the taramasalata - made from mashed potatoes! Ugh! Unbelievably terrible. Then we wondered where was the hummus, the stuffed vine leaves, the moussaka - none of which appeared on the menu. Almost the best thing we ate was the baklava for desert - which the waitress told us was not made in the restaurant but was bought in! The locals rate this place highly, which reflects their ignorance of genuine Greek cuisine.
We found this restaurant by chance as we were staying in Chambord for the night and everything was closed during the off season and we didn't want to eat poutine.Due to the very mixed reviews we were a bit apprehensive. For a Tuesday evening the restaurant was almost full, which we didn't expect. The waitress was extremely friendly and lovely to chat with, even though she was very busy. We ordered ceasar salad as an appetizer and lasagna and pasta frutti di mare as entrees. The portions are large and everything tasted very good. I would even say this was one of the best lasagnas I have ever eaten in a restaurant and compared to frutti di mare plates in Europe this one contained 4 times the amount of sea food. Their wine recommendations were good and we very much enjoyed our dinner here.
