So it's with this in mind writing about hay cellar... Count. I've been there since 2010. Heuriger means the young wine from the preseason. The sale at the place of the breeder is regulated by law to protect normal restaurants from competition. One essential limitation is that the wine can only be sold with cold foods. So you are usually offered cold meat, fish, cheese, vegetable dish, sandwiches, etc., and a variety of bread. Despite the restriction there is plenty of room for variation. Another important limitation is that a heurer is not allowed to provide continuous service. This means that it must be closed for a period of one year. In contrast to the other hypocrites of the larger Mautern area Heurigenkeller Graf, while closed for certain periods, is more frequent and longer open than the other hypocrites I know. So there is a reasonable good chance that it is open when you will be in the area. In summer you can sit on a terrace overlooking the Danube on the open side. In winter you will be offered an indoor table. If you are lucky, you will get one near the chimney. The place is run by a lady and her son. The service is as good as you can expect in such a place. While much more expensive than the other nearby hypocrites, the dishes are still moderately priced and the additional costs are worth. Parking is problematic. The entrance to the Heurigenkeller is located on a sharp left road for a car from Mautern. Do not try to stop there, but go to 50 m or so, there is a parking space on the left. When occupied, go for another 50 m over small bridge. Parking your car.
