It was about a mile walk right down, which means that you walk... a mile up back. The locals had nothing to do with it, but it was a challenge for me. The view of the back deck is stunning and the food is excellent!
After 1 -1.5 hours uphill, the Wallberghaus is everything you thrive for. A great view, a very beautiful terrace, 'white beer' and a very nice menu with local specialties or classic dishes such as Wiener Schnitzel. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is friendly and attentive. This is really a place to visit, even or especially when it comes to some trouble.
Very friendly staff, immediately a menu in English and service was very good It is white asparagus season so many options on this local dish and of course pork in different guises on the menu. We had a jolly evening and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Very typical bavarian food and best ever is the kaiserschmarrn, very fresh made in combination with a Tegernseer Halbe
Beautiful view, especially temperate in winter
