My first time. I'm from NJ. I couldn't try the pizza. But I tried the Pazzo bread... was excellent. I had a meatball Sub, Italian Sub, Pommes, chicken wing. The only thing that was okay was the wings... Everything else was excellent! Hard to find good food during the trip this is a great environment with great staff and great food.
Had a steak and cheese sub and some cheese bread. Food was excellent. The service was okay. Had a star because you have a state license/ID to buy alcohol there, because we cannot train our employees to identify from state statements, It's corporate policy. I don't think I've ever heard such a nonsense. But still good food.
Just got a chicken ceasar salad wrap from here and there was hardly any lettuce or chicken, and the chicken was super fatty, most of it was inedible? I got a few strands of cheese at the end of the wrap, there was absolutely no shreds of cheese in the first half of it though. The entire Sandwich was 80%bread 20% filling?.it was mostly all bread. There was hardly any dressing on it either. For a $10.50 Sandwhich this is absolutely unacceptable. I?m extremely disappointed and this location has really gone downhill the past few years?.makes me not want to go to this location anymore even though I live in Saco?.
Amato's of days past would put a lot more in their Italian sandwich than they do now. Still it's a very good sub. Their meatball sub is my favorite, with very good flavor. Local mom and pop shops give a better Italian though because of the reduced amount of food. I have to think that inflation has something to do with this maybe.
